Additional Information: First glance may attribute this mask to the Kuba, a neighbor of the Bindji.  But further examination of the features suggests it is a Tshibangabanga mask.  The features of the face are remarkable: high raised cheeks with long whiskers and a furry brow.  The mouth is square and the eyes are abstracted to look like a lens over the eyes.

The influence of Kuba elements is apparent, but this mask displays an individual character that would make it a welcome addition to any collection.
