Additional information: This is a truly unique and dynamic artifact of war in Africa.  The art trader indicated the garment is Yoruba, from Nigeria.  The entire garment is made from hundreds of iron rings linked together.  There are partial leg coverings with a detatchable ring in in the middle to fasten it shut.
