Overall Condition | Poor. Most of our pieces have spent decades on at least two continents, and have been treasured by several owners. Small splits, scrapes and cracks are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use. Additional Information: Forged Iron 'hoe' currency is found throughout the Cameroon, Nigeria and Tanzania. This example is attributed to the Mambila. Forged out of iron by native smiths these currencies were based upon actual hoe types and could be reforged into other functional objects as needed.
