Damage/Repair Oxidation on the coins, one broken wood decorative divider, dirt, and general wear.

Additional Information: A beautiful 6- strand belt made out of tiny glass beads of various colors (white, blue, green, red, and orange) and decorated with old British coins, plastic and wood dividers. The dominant beads are  white like in many Kamba beadworks. The use of coins on works such as this also indicate a Kamba origin. See an Kamba example in Marie-Louise Labelle, Beads of Life, p. 90, fig. 70.

This magnificent beadwork was probably  worn as a belt or as part of a ceremonial costume or garment.
