Indigo
The use of indigo dyes (historically natural, contemporarily probably synthetic) in textiles permeates many African cultures. Stripwoven samples from the Dogon and Mossi in Mali and Burkina Faso and resist dyed masterpieces from the Yoruba in Nigeria.
