Kuba Raffia Textiles
The technique of Kuba raffia weaving dates back at least 400 years. A unique example of the abstract in African art, Kuba artists improvise complex geometric designs to create Kasai Velvet squares as well as long Ntshak skirts and garments for ceremony.
